This listing is for the rug hooking kit "GM Lighthouse Mat".
The design is 8" x 8" and is hand drawn with generous borders on a 19" x 20" backing fabric and will fit on most lap top frames or in a 14" hoop. The edges of the backing fabric have been serged to prevent raveling. This Kit has 100% wool fabrics that have been felted and/or hand dyed and are ready to cut.

This is drawn from a photo I took of the lighthouse on the harbor in Grand Marais, Minnesota This mat would be lovely on a table or counter in any room in your house, would make a great trivet to hold something hot like your teapot! It would also make a nice wall hanging for that small space on the wall or a sweet little pillow.
This is a great beginner project and it is very quick to hook up for the more advanced hooker and would be a great gift any time of the year.

You have two choices to make as you purchase this item.
1.Choose a backing fabric of either cotton monks cloth or primitive linen.
2.Choose if you want the wool in your kit to come uncut, or, cut in #8 (1/4" wide) strips.
Each kit includes:
1. The pattern on cotton monks cloth or primitive linen, select your choice.
2. 100% wool fabrics that I have hand dyed and/or felted. Cut or uncut, your choice.
3. Instructions on where to use the colors in the wool pack and a color photo. It does not include instructions on how to hook.
The rug hooking kits are based on the colors and amounts, of wool I used when hooking these rugs in a #8 cut. Great efforts are made to match the original wools,and to include enough wool to complete the project. If you hook tighter, higher or in a different cut than specified, you are welcome to purchase additional wool if needed. Convo me if you need additional wool and I will give you a quote. Due to inconsistencies in photography and electronic media, colors may vary from what you see here.
The wool selections may differ slightly from the original version, but it will look very similar to the rug in the photo.
This Kit DOES NOT include a hook or finishing tape or yarn.
