Irish Hook (aka Hartman Hook) - Pear Handle - Primitive 9mm

The original Irish Hook. This 9mm Pear Handle, makes hooking a #8.5 strip and even larger go very smoothly. It is about 5" long including the brass shank which is about 2" long.

These hooks are individuallly handcrafted (the hook as well as the handle) with brass hooks and ferrules, using locally-sourced Yew wood for the handles. They are made by a father and son based in a pleasant corner of rural Ireland.

This hook can be held in the palm of your hand or held like a pencil. It has a very comfortable, smooth, balanced feel to it.
