These hooks are individually hand crafted in Ireland of solid brass with smooth "Yew" wood handles. Each handle is distinctive and beautiful. This is a very comfortable hook with a smooth place on the side for your thumb.This is the ideal hook for primitive narrow or wide cut hooking. The large diameter of the shaft opens up the backing cloth to make pulling up loops easier. Some rug hookers also use the shaft to measure or check the height of their loops.
