Rug Hooking Pattern, Christmas Shepherd 16" x 24", P119

This listing is for the rug hooking pattern "Christmas Shepherd".

The design is 16" x 24" and is hand drawn with 4" inch borders. The edges of the backing fabric have been zigzagged to prevent raveling.

There will be a photo of the rug, which was hooked with a #8 cut (1/4" wool strips), included with the pattern. (THIS LISTING IS FOR THE PATTERN ONLY.)

I designed this rug to be a symbol of what Christmas can mean, as in Charles Dickens' Christmas Carol; "a good time: a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time:" So--- St. Nicholas, a sheep, a star in the East and a reminder for me when stress begins to sneak into my life!
The sheep is an actual prize sheep I found in an old photo of my mother and her brother!

This pattern hooked up quickly, you could get it done in time for the holidays! It would be a good holiday pattern for a beginner.
