This listing is for the rug hooking kit for my design "Maple Leaf Mug Rugs" 6" x 5.5". I have hand drawn the design on backing that is approximately 20" x 20". It is surrounded by a border 4 inches wide or more and will fit on most lap top frames or in a 14" hoop. I have serged the outside edge to prevent raveling. A colored photo pamphlet of the mug rugs and "how to finish" tips are included with the pattern. It does not include instruction on how to hook.
If you wish to purchase the pattern only for Maple Leaf Mug Rugs, the item number is P153.
This is a great pattern for a beginner. For the veteran hooker, they hook up quickly and would be a great gift for a friend or a wonderful thank-you to a host or hostess. These little mug rugs make a great decorative accents for anywhere in your home, a trivet for your kitchen, display a favorite photo, a wall hangings for a little nook, .....
If you need a hook, I sell a Moshimer beginner hook and Hartman Hooks here:
You have two choices to make as you purchase this item.
1.Choose a backing fabric of either cotton monks cloth or primitive linen.
2.Choose if you want the wool in your kit to come uncut, or, cut in #8 (1/4" wide) strips.
Each kit includes:
1. The pattern on cotton monks cloth or primitive linen, select your choice.
2. 100% wool fabrics that I have hand dyed and/or felted. Cut or uncut, your choice.
3. Wool to back the mug rugs.
4. Instructions on where to use the colors in the wool pack, how to finish the mug rugs, and a color photo. It does not include instructions on how to hook.
The rug hooking kits are based on the colors and amounts, of wool I used when hooking these rugs in a #8 cut. Great efforts are made to match the original wools, and to include enough wool to complete the project. If you hook tighter, higher or in a different cut than specified, you are welcome to purchase additional wool if needed. Convo me if you need additional wool and I will give you a quote. Due to inconsistencies in photography and electronic media, colors may vary from what you see here.
The wool selections may differ slightly from the original version, but it will look very similar to the rug in the photo.
This Kit DOES NOT include a hook or finishing tape or yarn.
For international shipping quote, please convo your country and item list and I can give you an actual shipping quote, then write up a special order.
The finished rug is used as an example only and is not included in the listing.
